Katie MacLaurin, MSW/RCSW

Katie MacLaurin holds a Masters of Social Work from Carleton University and is a Registered Clinical Social Worker (RCSW) with the BC College of Social Workers. She is also a member of the Canadian and BC Associations of Social Workers and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.

Katie has worked for many years with children and families, within the court system and in the community. She has completed extensive training on children’s rights, child safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, family system interventions and conflict resolution, along with specialized training through the Justice Institute of BC to prepare s.211 reports under the Family Law Act.

In addition to her work with Anchor Family Assessment Services, Katie manages the work of Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services for the upper Vancouver Island region. Here she contributes to court-ordered psychological/psychiatric assessments and delivers specialized forensic treatment services to youth and families involved in the criminal justice system.
